ACADEMIC GAMEPLAN TOOLS
The Academic Gameplanner: This is not just a planner,
but a planning system custom designed for a student. It is the central
tool in the system. The Academic Gameplanner goes from July to July.
The Gameplanner includes the following major pieces:
Scouting Report: Allows students to do long-term planning and look at four weeks at a time.
Line-Up Card: Allows students to give detail to their day. They make prioritized and organized lists for each day. (Nothing will ever fall through the cracks again!)
Scorecard: A system through which the student and teacher/parent is empowered. Students keep track of all their scores and at any point they (and you) can know exactly how they are doing in each and every class!

DVDs: The DVDs teach
the program. The DVDs are broken down into 4
quarters (chapters) that teach how to Win at the Game of
School! Everything you
need to know about Academic Gameplan and how to do it is in these training
DVDs. See also: Overview of the Academic Gameplan
DVD's
Workbook: The workbook is the interactive partner to the DVDs. Page
by page it takes you through the DVDs and guides students through the
program.
AGP 75 Gauge Poly Binder: The binder is the second-most essential tool
in the system. It is a very durable binder so it lasts! It has a 2-inch
capacity, it won’t doggy ear in backpacks, and it’s black so it won’t
get defaced. It uses a durable D-ring system that keeps papers from
tearing.
In the binder, the following forms are used for each class/activity:
Master Schedule: Shows students when they have free time so that they are better able to plan their schedule.
Class Index & Summary Forms: This is where students write summaries for each class. It gives them an organization system for their notes and provides them with an outline so they’re ready when it’s time to study for tests.
Reading Gameplans: Helps students break down large reading assignments to avoid becoming overwhelmed.
AGP Notepaper: Loose leaf so that after students take notes they can
be inserted into their binder under the appropriate class tab immediately.
Custom-ruled for the specific note taking method taught in the program.
The system gives students a major change in perspective: they are not
taking notes they are “taking answers.” Part of the note taking method
taught is about how to convert notes into a study guide.
School Supplies: Supplies that come in the Student Package
Sheet Lifter: Keeps all papers in the binder from tearing and is translucent so that you can see what’s behind it
Mechanical Pencil: No need to sharpen it
Erasable Pen: For essay tests because even when students have to write in pen, neatness counts! Mistakes can be neatly erased
Eraser: For when the erasers on the pencil and pen run out
Highlighter: To help make certain things stand out on notes, syllabi, texts, etc.
4-Way Pen: To add detail to notes, and it gives you 4 pens in 1
Hole Punch: Students can keep it with them at all times and it allows them to immediately insert handouts into their 3-ring binder
Pencil Pouch: Hole-punched so that it is carried in the binder. Students have all their gear with them at all times
Mini-clip: Helps students mark their current page on the Scouting Report and Line-Up Card in the planner
Poly Ruler: Flexible, serves as a ruler and a straightedge
Stapler: Staple assignments or papers as necessary, immediately!
Tabs: 8 tabs so that there are enough for classes, labs, and any other activities students may wish to have a tab in the binder for. Translucent so that you can see the form below it.
