Seminars provide an overview and introduction to Academic Gameplan. It is taught in a fun, interactive, and informative manner with a focus on life skills. When Coach Baxter talks about life skills he defines them as, “Any technique, tool or idea that becomes a useable necessity by connecting to or demonstrating its long term purpose and usefulness.” With this concept, 20 simple, but effective skills will be introduced. Also, Coach Baxter demonstrates how they can be applied the very next day. The results of the seminar are immediate.
The seminar begins with a healthy perspective on education. It will give students a chance to get excited about school. Our goal is to create an interest in learning. An introduction into some technique for strategic planning will be taught. As Coach Baxter says, “Planning your work and working your plan.” Then, a memorization technique will be revealed. Audience members will learn to access their photographic memory.
These along with many other techniques will be introduced. They will enhance your curiosity in learning and cause excitement for achievement and improvement in school. At the seminar, we guarantee to build a big enough why for the need to get involved with Academic Gameplan and putting greater value on life long learning.
"I wish I had this when I was in school."
"Everything in this program is so simple, I’ve just never seen it put together like this."
The seminar includes a 25 page printed workbook. We suggest you bring a pen and possibly a note pad to take notes. If you need extra paper, there will be Academic Gameplan paper sold at the booth.
Parents bring their children to the seminar. The seminar is designed for parents and students to have a shared academic experience. The parents learn how to be an academic coach and the students learn new techniques for success in school and in life.
Definitely! Many junior high, high schools, and colleges teach Academic Gameplan in their school.
We choose not to use the word “learning disability” instead we prefer “learning difference”. We have found that many students with learning differences benefit from this program. If your child has an IEP and the parent recommends to the IEP coordinators the need for Academic Gameplan the school may provide Academic Gameplan for your child. If there are any questions or concerns please call 1-877-808-7526.
